Ian and Adam met in 2003 through work, but it wasn't until 2009 when energies aligned to allow them to form the black frame spectacle. Inspired by the relentless energy of punk, the cerebral songwriting of Radiohead, MUSE, System of a Down, and John Lennon, and the lo-fi, retro vibe of 50's and 60's rockabilly, the black frame spectacle blends these influences into a highly distilled, energetic, and memorable form. Drawing comparisons to many, with the right amount of 'just can't put a finger on it' intrigue, the black frame spectacle is generating palpable excitement with their debut release, Grady Sessions.
